On July 7, 2026, proGrow took center stage at "The New Era of Industrial Intelligence" in Vigo, Spain. Organized in close collaboration with the Consulate General of Portugal in Vigo, the Círculo de Empresarios de Galicia, and ABANCA, the event gathered industrial leaders, tech innovators, and institutional representatives to discuss how Artificial Intelligence and real-time digitalization are revolutionizing shopfloors.

Representing proGrow, Marco Tschan (CEO) and Manuel Rodríguez (Regional Business Developer) demonstrated how modern factories are transitioning from raw data accumulation to smart, predictive operational execution.

Beyond Data Collection: Turning Numbers into Action

For over a century, manufacturing plants have generated massive amounts of operational data that went completely unused. Today, while Industry 4.0 infrastructure is widespread, many factories still struggle to translate data into financial returns.

During the event, proGrow highlighted the 3 main obstacles preventing companies from capitalizing on shop-floor data:

  1. Lack of Context: Isolated data points carry little value. Metrics must be linked directly to specific machines, operators, and production jobs.
  2. Speed & Real-Time Agility: Analyzing operational reports days or weeks later is too slow. Manufacturers need immediate insight to intervene today and prevent tomorrow's losses.
  3. Clarity over Complexity: Drowning in dozens of unprioritized KPIs creates friction. The goal is to simplify data so teams can act instantly.

The 3 Pillars of Modern Industrial Transformation

To achieve true shopfloor intelligence, factories must connect three core pillars:

  1. Universal Connectivity: Connecting any equipment—legacy or modern—to extract live parameters smoothly.
  2. Advanced Sensing: Deploying next-gen IoT sensors to monitor temperature, vibration, motion, and critical parameters in real time.
  3. Interconnected Systems: Seamlessly integrating shop-floor machinery with ERPs, maintenance platforms, and enterprise software.

Introducing the Manufacturing Supervision Agent (MSA)

Building on these pillars, proGrow showcased the MSA (Manufacturing Supervision Agent)—an AI supervisor analyzing production 24/7. MSA continuously evaluates Availability, Performance, and Quality (OEE) to eliminate unplanned downtime, optimize workflows, and allow managers to "carry their factory in their pocket."

Proven Impact: Real Success Stories

proGrow’s impact was highlighted through real-world case studies demonstrating measurable ROI across key industries:

  • Quantal (Metalworking): Reduced unplanned downtime by 54%, gaining 2 extra production days per month.
  • Lipimalhas (Textiles): Integrated legacy analog machinery into a unified platform, boosting productivity by 81%.
  • Simoldes (Plastics / Automotive): Optimized plant efficiency across global operations, generating over €1,000,000 in annual savings.

Strengthening Cross-Border Innovation (Portugal & Galicia)

The event also underscored the strategic economic bond between Northern Portugal and Galicia as a combined power region for industrial technology, robotics, and advanced IoT solutions.
